Verónica Abad Alcaraz was born on 11 April 2000 in Almería. She obtained the degree of Industrial Electronic Engineer from the University of Almeria in 2022.
She started working as a Researcher at the University of Almeria on 16 March 2023 as a member of a European project called ‘New technologies to improve energy efficiency in buildings’ (NTech4Build). In this project, she develops the application of new digital technologies such as IoT or machine learning algorithms.
Research lines: Improving energy efficiency in buildings by characterising and modelling the behaviour of users inside the building, predicting solar irradiation and the production of photovoltaic panels and detecting anomalies with Augmented Reality.
Main results: Solar radiation prediction models applying Machine and Deep Learning techniques.
