This laboratory belongs to the Department of Informatics of the University of Almería, and it is devoted to the domotic control of lights, blinds, air conditioning, video cameras, etc.
The laboratory is mainly used for teaching. The different devices are integrated in the laboratory’s domotics through the KNX protocol.
Students work in small groups to interact with the different devices remotely through the web, allowing the creation of different comfort scenes.
In addition, they have the possibility to monitor the vital signs of a patient, detecting possible emergencies, and so on.
