This workshop was held on 20 October 2016 at the Parque Científico Tecnológico de Almería (PITA). It was inaugurated by the Director of PITA, Antonio Domene, and the Vice-Rector of Research of the University of Almería, Antonio Posadas. In addition, it had the participation of the researchers Manuel Domínguez of the University of León (Spain) who has participated with the lecture entitled “Energy supervision in large buildings”; Carlos Bordons of the University of Seville (Spain) which has developed the theme “Optimal energy management of microgrids with integration of electric vehicles. Economical and operational aspects” and María del Mar Castilla from the University of Almería which offered a lecture about “Control of HVAC systems and artificial lightings in sustainable buildings. Results of the research project OPTICONES”. Besides, this workshop has enjoyed the active collaboration of the company Schneider Electric through the lecture entitled “The evolution of electrical installations. SmartPanels at service of innovation”.
