In order to stimulate the involvement of young scientists and engineers in IFAC, as well as to recognize top-level contributions of the younger generation in our field and to support their careers, IFAC stimulates to have a Young Author Award at every IFAC symposium and conference.
The Young Author Award is awarded for the best paper of which the first and presenting author satisfies the eligibility criterion and is the main contributor of the research results in the paper. So, the elegible criteria are:
- The candidate must be less than 30 years old at the time of the event.
- First and presenting author of a paper.
IFAC Young Author Award guidelines are available here.
Award will consists of:
- An IFAC certificate with the recognition.
- A monetary prize of 300 €.
Finalists will also received a certificate.
No self-nominations are allowed. Nominations are typically made by supervisors or reviewers.
The winner will be announced during the closing ceremony event.
